Biography

Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.  She provides psychotherapy to children ages 2+, adolescents, adults, couples and families.  Christina believes therapy must be tailored to each unique individual and she not only respects, but embraces diversity.  She strives to provide safe, nonjudgmental and collaborative support.

Christina believes no child or person of any age is “bad” or “broken” and that all individuals have strengths, gifts and the ability to make desired positive changes within themselves to improve life satisfaction.  She understands the importance of learning the “why” behind people’s thoughts, decisions, actions and struggles.  She values being authentic and guiding individuals through the therapeutic process at the pace of those she works with to meet the therapeutic goals the individual has identified.

Christina believes it is important to have a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and honesty.  She also makes an effort to incorporate each person’s preferences and values, including their faith when desired.  She has a warm disposition, is direct but gentle in holding individuals accountable and takes a holistic approach to healing and well-being.
