Biography

Samirah is a passionate and dedicated therapist who believes in the power of collaboration and authenticity in the therapeutic process. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practices, Samirah is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges and strengths at their own pace.

Drawing from her background in inpatient, PHP/IOP, and college counseling settings, Samirah has developed an understanding of the complexities of mental health across the lifespan. Samirah’s approach to therapy is multifaceted, integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior.

Therapy (DBT) to best meet the unique needs of each individual. She believes in empowering her clients to cultivate self-awareness, insight, and resilience, equipping them with the skills and tools to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change.

Through a collaborative and compassionate alliance, Samirah works alongside her clients to explore the meanings behind their symptoms and rediscover their capacity for growth and choice. She is deeply committed to fostering an environment of trust, respect, and non-judgment, where clients can feel supported in their journey towards healing and personal transformation.

Samirah currently sees adolescents and adults for individual and couple’s/family therapy.
